Berry Island Farms - “Our U-pick farm is well known all over the San Francisco Bay Area! We grow the sweetest, best tasting berries. Our picking season starts in April and lasts all the way through November.
We are open for U-pick every Saturday from 9am to 1pm. We do not take reservations; first come first serve. Cash only. Closed toe shoes required. No pets allowed!
We grow a variety of different organic berries: strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, boysenberries, and olallieberries. Our heirloom strawberries are the sweetest, best tasting you will find! Nothing tastes better than straight from the vine.”

Key Insights:
- I love how it's a pretty small place, yet has several different things to pick, so the kids don't get bored and we always end up with a great haul.
- But every berry is absolutely delicious, and their local honey, and their jams and other produce are great, too!.
- Recommend going to Gizdich Ranch instead, which is 20 minutes away, has a bigger patch, more strawberries, fewer people, the strawberries are half the price, and there’s a nice pie shop & deli with an outdoor seating area and play area for kids..
- as the farm owner, being very rude and ridiculous scolding at us especially in front of three kids.. You will be welcomed, but you could barely find any strawberries in the small U pick area.
- Other vegetables and berries are not ready for U pick.. We had so much fun, and although I was reluctant at first to take my 2yr old girl, she definitely enjoyed her strawberry feast 100%.
