Roaring Acres are very passionate about their alpaca program, but there is plenty more to do when you visit too!
“Roaring Acres is located in the beautiful town of Suffield, Connecticut. Situated on over 30 acres, Roaring Acres is home to Suri and Huacaya Alpacas, Painted Desert Sheep, mini horses, goats, mini donkeys and a variety of ducks, chickens and geese, including rare and heritage breeds. In addition, we have the privilege to be the home of Jake’s Bees. We truly enjoy being with the animals every day, rain (or snow!) or shine. The farm and boutique are located at 685 Hale Street, Suffield CT. There is ample parking and farm access down the long driveway (not the residential driveway). Bring the family and hand feed the alpacas! We have lots of new and exciting products this year, as well as the construction of a beautiful new barn and boutique. Please see below for our open farm days. Don’t forget to pick up fresh, pasture raised chicken and duck eggs (subject to availability), fresh produce as well as local, raw honey from Jake’s bees when you are visiting!”

Key Insights:
Even on a hot day, it’s worth a stop by to say hello and feed them some grain.
Highly recommend for little ones to get used to bigger animals.. Amazing place with a very nice staff.
There's also a gift shop where you can purchase some extremely soft alpaca fur items like scarves, hats, and toys.. We brought our almost 3 year old daughter here to see the alpacas.
They give you a big bag of food and you go in the pen and feed the alpacas straight out of your hand.
They have a great little shop where I got the SOFTEST teddy bear you've ever touched.
