Alpacas are one of the cutest and most amazing animals in the world. They have a very calming effect which you feel as soon as you enter the fields. At Painted Sky Alpaca Farm, you will have the opportunity to get up close & personal with our alpacas. They have known nothing but love from their human friends so they are very socialized and love meeting people. You may even garner an alpaca kiss!
We are the only Alpaca Farm on the beautiful Eastern Shore of Maryland where visitors can see the entire life cycle of fiber processing. You can feel the softness and fiber texture in it’s raw natural state while loving on the alpacas. In our fiber mill, you’ll see how the raw fleeces are transformed into beautiful alpaca yarns, rovings and batts. And finally, in our on-site gift shop, you’ll see all the wonderful things that can be made from this fantastic fiber including alpaca hats, alpaca scarves, alpaca gloves, alpaca socks, alpaca wraps, alpaca coats, alpaca sweaters, alpaca toys and lots more!”
