Slow Farm is a certified organic U-pick farm and farm stand 3 miles north of Ann Arbor, Michigan.
“Slow Farm is a certified organic U-pick farm and farmstand devoted to the principles of Slow Food, agroecology, and justice in the food system. Slow Farm’s 187 acres are located in SE Michigan, 3 miles north of Ann Arbor, and includes woods, native prairie and wetlands. We grow mainly heirloom produce and flowers, and provide an organic farm experience demonstrating biodiversity and “closed loop” practices.
Slow Farm is a certified organic farm and it’s a diversified farm (we grow lots of different crops), both of which are unique among Upick farms. We have approximately 20 acres under cultivation and grow about 100 different varieties of fruits, vegetables, and flowers.
Since we support biodiversity in all its dimensions, we have a lot of weeds and insects and butterflies and birds. So please be prepared to deal with that aspect of the farm and try to notice the amazing variety and diversity that you see, hear, smell, touch, and taste.”
Slow Farm also grow raspberries and pumpkins.

Picked up strawberries, cucumber, squash flowers, tomatoes, green beans, etc.
We had a great time with our toddler and even though the skies were pouring, we braved the rain and enjoyed the experience!
We've been able to pick a wide variety of things at Slow Farm - potatoes, tomatoes, all sorts of lettuces and greens, eggplant, corn, okra, peppers, basil --- and more that I'm forgetting.
It's a charming little patch with all colors: bright vivid oranges, whites, yellows.
I know it's organic, but at 69¢ a pound, we couldn't afford the big pumpkin we selected, it would have cost us nearly $25.
