The Obermiller’s Farm is a “pick your own strawberry, blueberry and blackberry farm that opens seasonally for berry picking. We open generally from the first week of May for strawberries until the season ends, usually around the first week of June. Blueberries and blackberries usually start around the 4th of July and pick to about Labor Day.”

Key Insights:
- Our toddler had a great strawberry picking experience here (after a meltdown because he thought we were initially headed to the playground).
- Once he had his basket and found a picking row, he began counting the number of berries he picked (19) and talking about all the things we could make from his berries (cake, jelly, ice cream).
- An hour later, we paid for our baskets and headed to the market to pick up ingredients for a delicious strawberry shortcake.
- Pay attention to the Facebook page as they are very active and they update what is ripe each day they are open and when they are picked out.
- Also the man who runs it is very nice and will work with you if you only pick like half a pint he will adjust the price fairly.
