Helms’ Christmas Tree Farm “was established in 1972. For nearly half a century, the farm has been providing choose and cut trees for the families in Lincoln county and beyond.  Henry has been producing choose and cut trees of multiple varieties for nearly half a century.
Helms’ Christmas Tree Farm believes in regenerative planting.  This means that when a tree is cut, one is put back in it’s place the next year.”

The Carolina Saphire
The Carolina Saphire  has beautiful silvery blue / teal coloration year round.  The branches are sturdy, but have a lacy appearance.  Its aroma and color interest make a great display in holiday greenery.
White Pine
For Christmas trees, sheared trees are preferred, although some people feel shearing results in trees too dense for larger ornaments. Needle retention is good to excellent.
Colorado Blue Spruce
This species is bluish-gray in color.  This Christmas Tree has good symmetrical form and has an attractive blue foliage.

Key Insights:
  • If you want tall and skinny or short(5 ft and under) and bushy then they will have what you need.. My boyfriend and I drove an hour away hoping to find our tree at Helms last weekend, and right off the bat we were surprised by how small the farm was.
  • It only took us about 20 minutes to walk around and look at all the trees on the lot, which were either very short (3-ish feet tall), really skimpy or had branches that were far too weak to support ornaments.
  • Gave 1 star because the staff was friendly.. Was not impressed at all, Unfortunately my regular place Sam's Christmas tree farm was closed so I went to Helms for the first time..
  • I would agree that the staff is not overly helpful, however the experience of being able to walk the grounds and then cut my own tree down and bring it back to the car was pretty neat.
  • Our 5 year old loved the giant Santa and the quality of our tree was great, I even purchased a wreath and a few handmade items from the shop.
