Long’s Tree Farm is a “family owned business located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina. We have been growing and harvesting Christmas trees since the late 1970’s. We are small enough to grow and maintain our trees to produce a high quality tree at a very competitive price. Our farm is located in Glendale Springs, North Carolina just off the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Long’s Choose & Cut is open from the weekend before Thanksgiving and every weekend until Christmas. Thanksgiving weekend - open Thursday through Sunday. Other weekends Saturday and Sunday. Hours 9:00 a.m. until dusk. Also open weekdays by appointment.”

Key Insights:
- We arrived reasonably early on the Sunday after Thanksgiving, found a convenient parking place, were greater by a family member, picked out our tree and got excellent service by Derrick, a young go-getter.
- There was at least 6 inches of snow on the ground and they didn't mind my son sledding or my family throwing snowballs.
- We bought a 6-7 foot tree for $45 and enjoyed a lovely view of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the top of the property.
- We didn’t want the bugs to end up making a nest in our home or in our dogs fur so we put the tree on the porch.
- We plan to return and buy good quality live Christmas trees.. Amazing experience!!!
