Be sure to leave time to visit the maze at South Texas Maize, as well as meeting the super cute farm animals, and trying the delicious sweet treats in the farm shop before you go to pick your pumpkin!
“Y’all come enjoy a family adventure with food and fun for all … in Hondo, Texas! Home of South Texas Maize weekends in the Fall. Watch our calendar for Spring and Summer seasonal events in the Dance Barn, too. Just a short country drive from San Antonio in the heart of South Texas.
We have a giant field of pumpkins every Fall. It’s such fun to poke thru and pick up a few! We have pumpkins to cook with, and pumpkins to use as Fall décor. Plus, choose pumpkins to carve (or paint) into harry-scarey jack-o-lanterns for Halloween! Bring your cameras, folks — pumpkins make the best photo props of the Fall season!”

Key Insights:
The corn maze is the big attraction, but they also have a field of flowers to pull from and animal petting.. Our favorite place to go every year to enjoy fall season!
(Check their website they offered free military and $10 onsite though it was for Nov 12-14) It is a very easy going atmosphere.
Just to note you get a band and it's good for the whole day., Which helped tremendously for our large family a total of 16 people when it came to the "we are hungry" stage.
Friendly, safe place for you and the kids to eat, play, and wander a corn field maze or take a hayride!
Live music and lots of places to sit and relax.. My family and I visited the South Texas Maize for the first time yesterday.
