Beautifully situated on the Blue Ridge Mountains is Hollin Farm, which has been in the same family for four generations.
In May and June we pick strawberries, late June and early July raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, sour cherries, spring and summer vegetables. July and August there are berries, peaches, Japanese plums, Asian pears, cucumbers, tomatoes, sweet corn, peppers, beans, okra, eggplant, squash, dig-your-own potatoes, cut flowers, and other summer vegetables. September and October see Apples and Pumpkins.

Key Insights:
The owner did agree to refund us for the 2 containers we couldn’t fill but did not seem very pleased about it, was short with us, and didn’t offer any apologies.
I understand the 20$ Includes “admission” but If we didn’t get what we were admitted for- cherries- than a refund seems very reasonable and the owner should be much more gracious with customers.
Despite all this the views were beautiful and cherries were delicious, I recommend going earlier in the season next year, this season is not worth it at this point.. Great farm, good pricing, tasty apple cider donuts, and loved that they had other foods we could harvest in addition to apples — we dug up peanuts and potatoes to take home!
Tip: bring a food picker or a grabber or a stool or a tall person so you can reach the apples that are higher up!.
I love hollin farm so I'm appreciative of being able to spend some time there during pandemic, that being said its difficult to stay apart in common areas but you can find spots to pick apples pears and veggies away from everyone.
