Dewberry Farm is “our attempt to bring a taste of the farm of past, present, and future to the public of today. Since not everyone has a grandpa or favorite uncle to visit on the farm, we try to bring some of the experience to you. And you don’t even have to clean out the chicken house! 

Each year new activities or experiences are added to the farm, and, of course, a new maze theme is carved out of the eight acres of corn.”

The Elves Christmas Tree Farm is “located one hour north of Dallas.  We are conveniently located on FM120 between HWY 75 and HWY 289.

We bring in over 100,000 pounds of Pumpkins, Gourds, Indian corn and specialty pumpkins to our farm every year.  The Pumpkin Patch activities include Hayrides, The Maze, a farm zoo, hay jump and dress your own scarecrow stations (great photo opportunity).  Farm specialties include picnic areas,  tours, snacks, drinks, gifts, arts and crafts, restrooms, country atmosphere, and free coffee on request.  So bring the family and the camera out to the farm for great time.

Hours:

We are open every weekends in October.  Hours are Saturday 10am - 5 pm and Sunday 1pm - 5pm for our annual Pumpkin patch.  We are closed during the week to the public because we conduct school tours by appointment only.”

The trip to Milberger’s Nursery and Landscaping in San Antonio, is well worth it for its pumpkin patch activities. Aside from selling pumpkins, the company also has a hay bale maze and a train that’s similar to a zoo train. These activities are open during the month of October. The train and the pumpkin patch are additionally available for photo shoots. Milberger’s Fall Festival is the weekend before Halloween. During this festival, there will be face painting, a balloon artist, an employee costume contest, roasted corn, Halloween treat bags … and much more!

“We have hundreds of pumpkins for you to buy, take home, or paint here! With your admission, enjoy many photo ops with scarecrows and farm decorations, a scenic hay ride, children’s play areas, hay and haybale mazes, hay and tire climbing areas and more.

Also enjoy a live petting zoo and carnival games. There is a small fee for pony rides, a potato launch contest and face painting. For your family there is a free hay ride through woods and fields. We will have refreshments and cold drinks available and shady sitting areas to enjoy them. Enjoy some fun autumn farm time with your family!”

Visitors to the Oxford United Methodist Church in San Antonio have nothing but glowing reports for the pumpkin patch and quality of the pumpkins available. The photogenic location is a particular talking point, making it the ideal pumpkin picking location for those who like to post on the gram!

“Once again, North Texas residents are looking forward to cooler weather and excitedly planning their trips to The Big Orange Pumpkin Farm at Preston Trail Farms. Little did we know when we began our Dallas-area pumpkin farm in 1997, that it would become an annual destination for thousands of North Texas and Oklahoma residents.

Over the last year, thousands of visitors and school and church groups have come to Preston Trail Farms.

From September 26th through November 25th, Pumpkin Farm will offer visitors a chance to experience blossoming small green pumpkins right on the vine in our pumpkin patch, hayrides, a 6-foot hay maze, and a petting farm for a taste of the country life.
