L&A Family Farms have a sunflower maze, you-pick flower meadow, corn maze and pumpkin patch.

“We offer one of the Midwest’s traditional pastimes in the fall - a corn maze! Our 10-acre corn maze has a little bit of a twist, though. Rather than having all 10-acres make up one maze, we have four separate mazes within the field. There is one entrance/exit to the maze that leads into a courtyard. Once in the courtyard, you’ll see the separate paths/mazes to choose from, so you can spend as little or as much time as you want in the maze without having to walk through all ten acres.

ALRIGHT, WHO’S READY FOR A CHALLENGE AND A CHANCE TO WIN A PRIZE?

Hidden somewhere in each section of the maze, there is a sign that serves as a checkpoint for that maze. The checkpoints may have a fun fact or a certain task to complete on it. You’ll want to complete the task or write down/take a photo of the bold and underlined word or term on the sign. If you successfully report everything from the checkpoints back to the staff at the store, you’ll be able to spin the wheel, giving you a chance to win a prize!

Get ready for a lot of twists and turns if you plan to find all four checkpoints this year! A couple sections already have a reputation of being challenging by the farm’s grounds crew who have been mowing the maze this summer.”

Many farms have cool corn mazes, “but not many can live up to the size and detail of the Richardson Adventure Farm Corn Maze! With its 9 - 10 miles of trail winding through 28 acres of live corn, you are in for a challenge and a treat!

The maze is actually created out of 4 smaller mazes. Each one has its own dedicated in and out path. There are multiple checkpoints throughout the maze as well as three bridges that will help you find your bearings while looking at the map.

The Richardson Farm offers a huge variety of on-farm experiences: Our activities include a 700 foot long zip line, Orbiting, and the “world’s largest”, most intricately designed corn maze along with activities for all ages. The farm is Illinois’ best location for company and group picnics and your adventure to the pumpkin patch. Later in the year, we also invite you to roam more than 50,000 Christmas trees to strengthen and renew your family’s tradition of choosing and cutting your own Christmas tree—creating memories to last a lifetime.”
