Volcan Valley Apple Farm “will open this fall as soon as the first varieties ripen, at 9am! And then Friday-Monday until the apples are gone.
Apple bags hold 6-7 lbs of delicious apples and are $15/bag, cash OR credit (includes admission)! $5 admission for people who don’t have a bag (check for current prices). Children 5 and under are free.
OPEN 9am to 5:00pm. No admission after 4:30. Gates will lock at 5:00pm. We have seven varieties of apples, ripening sequentially through mid September.
We have a new open passage through the rows mid-orchard. PLEASE DO NOT cross through rows over the wires — it’s really destructive.”

Key Insights:
Opening day, so lots of people, but we picked 3 bags of Empire and Jonathan apples.
The drive to this apple farm is absolutely fantastic, winding through Southern California mountains.
Easy drive from San Diego, and definitely a must do family activity during September and early October.. My husband and I had our second date here picking apples then making jelly together from the yummy apples.
We visit every year to reminisce the sweet smell and taste of the apples.
Last year they had some apple wood that had been pruned from the trees and we bought some to use in our smoker...Fabulous and fairly priced.
