Apple Picking
In 2012, Nelms Farm was established to provide the Nelms Farm family with the opportunity to share the fruits and vegetables grown in the orchard without the use of chemicals or pesticides. Guests are welcome to visit and pick their own apples.
“Please note that reservations are required for all visitors to the farm. We request one reservation per group of 6 or less. There will be 3 reservation groups available each hour. We will have lots of potatoes, honey, and jam as well as peaches and apples.”

Key Insights:
- We have 3 three small kids that have been looking forward to picking apples since we made the reservation.
- Since our reservation was for 8am the next morning and they are not answering the phone I can't check to see if there are some other kinds of fruit the kids can pick.
- However, they had apparently had a bad crop this year and there wasn't much to harvest and the apples we did harvest were the size of a bouncy ball.
- The apples were delicious and the kids loved digging for potatos.
- Best people (Ralph & Betsy) and produce that you'll find in and around Golden!.
