Nichols Ranch and Orchards is a family farm in the Sacramento Mountains outside La Luz, farming in Otero County since 1882. Its official site says the farm grows cherries, apples, apricots and other stone fruit for pick-your-own or pre-picked purchase, with fruit-season hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily from June through October.
Its 2026 fall calendar lists an Apple Festival on October 3 and 4, a pumpkin patch on October 24 and 25, and a Haunted Orchard on Friday and Saturday evenings in October except the first weekend.
