Apple Dave’s Orchards

Fruit Picking Farms
The system at Apple Dave’s Orchards is simple, you buy a picking bag and you pay for the apples that you pick.
“You can mix Macintosh, Cortland, Honeycrisp, Gala, Empire, Jonagold, Jonamac, Rome Beauty, Red Delicious, Macoun, Fuji and Golden Delicious apples with pumpkins from our patch.
Apple picking season runs from Labor day until about Halloween. The rest of the year we offer our Distillery with marvelous cocktails, great craft beers, Apple Jack hot toddies and fresh cider donuts. Come enjoy our warm red barn in the winter as you sample great food from our farm kitchen.
Stroll our walking trails surrounded by wildlife. Your children will enjoy our farm atmosphere and free-range chickens. A wide variety of foods and ice cream are offered on weekends, so be prepared to eat well.”

Key Insights:
  • You could get wine or pizza or donuts or cider or beer or pie and a variety of other foods from different stands and then listen to live music and hang out on the hillside with gorgeous views and hike around the lake and then head into the orchards for apple picking and it was all just a great relaxing fall afternoon with a terrific atmosphere.
  • Due to some family squabble supposedly they have placed their loyal customers in the middle of some Hatfields and McCoy full out business war.
  • Recommend bringing some sandwiches for post Apple picking, a picnic blanket and relaxing on the slope looking down over the lake while enjoying a hard cider..
  • There were also pumpkins, wine sampling, distillery, craft beer, a general store, decent food, live music, and kids activities on-site!
