Popular with locals and visitors alike for the huge juicy strawberries available during picking season Demases Farm is a family owned and operated producer of vegetables for 4 generations.
“Established in 1919 in Tarrant county, the farming was moved 40 miles to the northwest of the original farm in 1987 to Boyd. Here we carry on the farming trade on 55 acres of trinity River bottom land.
The produce from Demases farm is grown by carefully considering every method used that had been passed down for over 100 years as well as applying the more modern and safe production methods of today. We produce such crops as kale, collards, mustard , turnips, beets, carrots, squash, tomatoes, potatoes , onions, peas, beans, watermelons , cantaloupes , strawberries, and the occasional pumpkin in the fall.”
