Pecan Creek Strawberry Farm
Strawberry Picking
Welcome to Pecan Creek Strawberry Farm, a pick your own strawberry experience located in Pilot Point.
Here at Pecan Creek Strawberry Farm we strive to grow the most delicious strawberries. We believe that can be achieved using hard work and combined years of farming knowledge passed down to us from generations before.
First and foremost, we are not a certified organic farm, though we implement many organic growing practices.
After doing hours of research and attending conferences, Chris began growing strawberries in 2015. He saw the demand as well as the desire of the customers to not only buy fresh strawberries, but pick them too. That’s when the decision was made to branch away from his family’s business, and start on his new independent adventure, Pecan Creek Strawberry Farm.

Key Insights:
- we liked picking even though it was small not ripe etc , but after paying I had to walk back to the overflow parking and was stopped by security asking for a red sticker on the bucket.
- I have to say the conversation was not cordial at all finally I have to describe the cashier shirt color etc for their mistake of not placing a red sticker in the basket .
- Understand that it's just a few people running the event, and they all work really hard and are proud of their product, but the lines can feel like an amusement park at times.
- I stupidly wore some old tennis shoes and ended up paying the price, I would recommend boots or simply going barefoot.. Best Kept Secret in DFW.
- We were there for roughly 2 hrs on Saturday and except for 20 minutes picking Strawberries spent rest of the time in lines.. Had a lot of fun out here.
